A friend of mine is going to Comic-con in PHX this weekend with this bad-ass Garrus costume. So freakin’ talented! She told me to tell Tumblr that if anyone wanted to see more pics and info on this, they should check in at Red Nebula Studios (http://www.rednebulastudios.com/) where she’ll post more after the Con…
HOLY FUCKING CALIBRATIONS.
I thought that first pic was a painting or something. O_O
“Chandra Nalaar” (Magic the Gathering)
“The fire is not Photoshopped but is made of cloth being backlighted”
That’s some wicked-awesome armor.
I am very Norse-looking, aren’t I? Silly Viking ancestors.
To be honest, I hadn’t thought much about it before, but that’s not a half-bad idea. I have a technique I’d been playing around with that’s good for making molded, metallic-style pieces that aren’t too heavy. The rest of her Fearless Defenders costume could be made with small modifications to things I could buy in most stores. Then I’d just need another wig to make clip-in braids for the one I already have…
rubenwho replied to your post: I think that last one would look quite good on you.
Nice! Will you consider cosplaying as Mockingbird if you manage to apply this one correctly?
I’d really like to cosplay Bobbi, but I don’t know how I’d make her costume without having to sew, and I haven’t used a sewing machine since I was in Girl Scouts, much less made an entire outfit before. (Not to mention I don’t have a sewing machine or access to one…)
Painting the spirals for Tali’s wrap is pretty easy. It takes a million years but it’s still pretty easy. Here’s how to do it!
Free comic book day cosplay. Woot!
The full effect! I had to take the wig off to get into costume and didn’t put as much effort into arranging it a second time. And the light is crappy and I’m tired and blah blah blah.
I do think I should probably make those fingerless gloves, too. Hmmm.
Shot Maya out in the Petrified forest. Guys, it was like I was in The Dust for reals. #thewildplaces #borderlands2 #cosplay
That sounds so extremely cool.
Hey guys :3
If anyone is looking for lipstick for cosplay or anything you should try Kaoir!
It comes in so many different colors and its so vibrant and long lasting. They have the perfect Vriska and Kanaya color !
Also they DON’T test on animals~!
Oh wow I have been looking for coloured lipstick for long time that isn’t cheap halloween stuff that runs off your face after 10 minutes. I’m going to have to buy the blue and white to test it out.
Racist responses to cosplayers of color mystify and infuriate me.
Go check out this article, written by the cosplayer above, about the shit she got for posting her pictures to Facebook.
As a white person, I can’t really say anything that isn’t already being said better by the people who actually experience this kind of thing, but as a nerd and a decent human being, let me just publicly declare that I find it appalling and would like to cut a bitch.
