Men Can Stop Rape’s new College Bystander Intervention campaign.

Actual good anti rape campaign posters! They don’t shame victims, they ask people to examine their own actions and inactions and protect their friends. And not in a gross excuse for chivalry either, just as people keeping people safe.

I like this. 

I appreciate that none of these are “I swooped in and got her out of there!!!”, but instead are like “I provided an out [if she wanted it]”. Also, and very importantly, it’s presented in the context of “I don’t care whether I’m getting something out of it or not. It’s the right thing to do.”

When I talk to guys I know about helping women a lot of them say they don’t think they’ll be any more successful than women are at getting a dude to back off, but I don’t buy it.

That guy takes your silence for approval, guys. Speak up.
